Every caregiver has a voice and seat at the table at the Meadow View SCO. We welcome all Otter caregivers and Meadow View staff at our meetings. Did you know Otter caregivers and Meadow View staff are automatically members of the SCO?
It’s important to us that all caregivers have the opportunity to fully participate in our meetings. This year all of our monthly meetings will be bilingual in Spanish and English.
Our monthly SCO meetings are a great opportunity to learn more about Meadow View activities, hear more about special topics important to our learners and community like Sunshine Place and Leader in Me, as well as meet and connect with other caregivers. And you will also have the opportunity to help plan or support events for our teachers and students as well as decide how we should focus the SCO’s resources this school year.
What to expect at an SCO meeting
We will be joined by members of our Meadow View literacy team at our October SCO Meeting! They will share information about how we can help support our students on their reading journey and share some tips. They also look forward to your questions and hearing more about literacy needs from parents and caregivers.
We will also talk about a literacy night we are hoping to partner with the literacy team on in mid-February.
